Courtyard by Marriott Portsmouth

Quite a surprise for us! While the hotel is just off I-95, the set-back and insulation compensated, allowing a good night's sleep. The facilities were excellent although the restaurant was still being remodeled. But thanks to a free shuttle to downtown Portsmouth, with a friendly driver giving good tips, we had a great time. We will come back.

The location of the property was great; nicely tucked away but very close to downtown Portsmouth and the shopping outlets and restaurants. The property is well taken care of and kept very clean.

The room was exceptional. Loved the extra space, couch and desk space. separate toilet /shower from the sink. Lots of electrical outlets. Bed was great.

Very friendly and nice staff. Very helpful. They had a shuttle bus that took you to Downtown Portsmouth that was super convenient. Could walk it as it was only about a mile, but, the shuttle was pretty much at our beckoning call. If the shuttle was in town, just had to wait 10 minutes for it to return to the hotel to pick you up. Only thing, I do not believe the shuttle runs on Sunday mornings. Great way to drink and not drive on the weekends!!

The staff were very attentive, and would assist if there was an issue quickly and kindly. I loved the set up of the room with the balcony and outdoor chair and table. The bed was spacious and super comfortable. Maintenance staff were efficient. Overall I’m going to probably stay here most of the time when I visit Portsmouth.
